Diurnal Cycle: Wangara
The Wangara case simulates a full diurnal cycle from 0900 LST 16 August 1967 to 0900 LST 17 August 1967 (Day 33–34 of the 1967 Wangara experiment). The reference domain is 5000 m × 5000 m × 2000 m on an 803 grid (Basu et al. 2008, Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 129, 329-359).
The surface boundary condition uses observed screen-level potential temperature at 1.2 m above the ground, and the geostrophic wind is time- and height-varying.
